Business&Bible

Five Sundays in the Word, for women who are building something.

Sundays 4PM PT  ·  Starting August 2  ·  Free

I got so caught up building the business that I stopped building my relationship with God.

Nobody says that part out loud. We say we're busy. We say it's a season. But the Bible sits closed on the desk while we go looking everywhere else for the strategy, the plan, the thing that will finally work.

And the whole time, He was the thing.

So we go back to the fundamentals.

We seek God first. Not the strategy, not the breakthrough, not the thing that will finally work. Him. Because as we get closer to Him and to His love, everything else falls out of that.

I'll send you the passage before Sunday so you can sit with it. Then we come together and go through it slowly. Who is God here? What is He like? And what does it look like for us to reflect Him, as women made in His image, in every part of our lives, including the ones we're building.

I'm not the only Bible teacher in the room. Come with what you see. What He shows you is for all of us.

And something I keep coming back to.

You have been praying for the new thing. New clients. A new plan. For something, anything, to finally work. You have been asking Him to open the door.

What if the thing you are praying for is a version of you that you have not learned to carry yet?

Not because you are wrong. Not because you failed, or stopped, or were never called. And not one more reason to beat yourself up, because you have enough of those.

But because He would rather have you close to Him than hand you something that would take you far from Him.

He is not withholding. He is building the one who will carry it.

That is the work of these five Sundays. Not a strategy. Not a breakthrough. Him, first, and us becoming the kind of women who can steward what He hands us.

Sow

The Word goes in before Sunday

I'll send you the passage ahead of time. Sit with it. Let it get in the ground and start working on you before we ever open our mouths.

Dig

We break ground together

Openly, and out loud. Where do we see God here? What is He like? And what does reflecting Him look like in the life you're actually living?

Root

We commit to one thing

Not a takeaway to admire. One thing you'll carry into the week and put down into real ground, where nobody sees it but you and Him.

Water

We pray over each other

By name, over the real thing each of us is carrying. You will not be praying alone this week.

Harvest

We come back and tell the truth

The next Sunday we bring what grew, and we bring what got pruned. The wins and what God exposed. Both count. Both are how He works.

2 Chronicles 32

Here's the kind of thing we go looking for.

Hezekiah was a good king. Faithful. He prayed and God healed him, and gave him a sign, and prospered him in everything he put his hand to.

And then his heart got proud.

Not while he was struggling. After he was blessed.

That's the part we skip. We brace for pride when we're chasing the thing. We don't expect it to show up after God hands it to us.

So when we sit in this chapter together, we're not looking for a tip. We're asking who God is here. What He does with a proud heart that turns. What He's like when the blessing becomes the blind spot.

And then the harder question. Where are we doing the same thing?

Save your seat

Tell me your name, what you're wrestling with, and what you're building. I'm asking for a real reason. I want to pray for you by name, and I want what you're carrying to shape what we study.

Say it plainly. It doesn't have to be tidy.

The business, the project, the thing He gave you.

Something went wrong. Please try again, or just reply to my email.

You're in.

I have your name, and I'll be praying for you by name this week.

Watch your inbox. I'll send you a calendar invite with the link, and the first passage to sit with, before we start on Sunday, August 2 at 4:00 PM Pacific.
